I'm trying to write a fic, but i have terrible problems thinking about the new politics in the Aos universe. So i make a little recall of Tos and i will try to find out with you what happens in Aos. The Klingon's Empire and The Romulan's Empire. Dynamics, war, peace, etc.
The Klingons:
In Tos the Klingons where the primary enemies of the Federation until the end of the VI movie "The Undescover Country".
The Klingons fighting with Federation for planets with dilithium and for expansion in planet in the border and more. The technics of the Klingon empire are more brutal, they intervene in cultural affair and armament in planet with lesser civilizations, and make martial law in them.
The enterprise have a lot of encounters with them,fighting for planets, trying to save primitive planets for it's intervention. and after the "Errand of Mercy" episode we had the Organian's Treaty
who serve some years. We know too that the Tribble incident giver a lot of food starvation problems to the Klingon's Empire. An even with no other explanation aviable could change the genetics of the Klingons giving them their actual appereance (other thinks maybe one race of Klingons disapear and the one actually in existant resolve and save themselves from starvation.
And pòssible this ecological disaster put the Klingons in the necesity of join the Federation.
Finally in "TSOS" Klingons killed David the son of Jim, and in the 6th movie Jim and Bones were inprisioned in Rurapente and finally helps in the talks about the unification of the Empire to the Federation.
But is Aos We have the problem of the Romulans in the form of the Narada entering too early and killing an Armada of Klingons. This must affects politics not only for the Federation.
Do you think The Klingons decide to Attac and expand for the side of the Romulans??, or fight two fronts? or take the same desision like in Tos because of the Federation is more week??. I have problem with this because the Klingons for sure wants a revenge giving their nature.
And If they decide to fight motre with the Romulans what will be the end of it??

In Tos the Romulan Empire is far away and they have a treaty with the Federation who had like 100 years, this Treaty ends in the episode "The Balance of Terror" where we first saw a Romulan
and we have the first Notice of the common ancester with the Vulcans. This happened like ten years after of the Narada incident in Aos.
In Tos
The Federation had very few fights with the Romulan empire after the episode "The Enterprise Incident" and there is until the next Century that the Romulans actively attact The Federation and becomes war enemies in the next Generation we have a lot of fighting with the Romulans.
In Aos
We discover the Romulans 10 years before and they are not conected with the Narada Incident. and they know about their star will die in 140 year more.
So what will be their dinamics with the Federation?
I know to the common public view the romulan will be seen as the murderer of Vulcan and the Kelvin. So political will be difficult.
