1. Beginning with the obligatory question: how did you discover Hikago?


Well no so long ago like 3 months??, i always haird about it and i found in mininova a link with all the serie, the complete manga plus tv specials, so with my Hubby go for it
We see the serie in 4 days, read the manga in 5 days(well he works and i keep the house and the children so...) then i look for comms and find out onogenesis I know her for Clamp, is in the fandom and i'm start to read fanfics, and i not finish read all, but i will

2. Manga or anime?
I think they are very similar and i love both i can decide my self... I love HikaGo
i want a continue of the manga!!!!

3. Describe your Hikago experience, whatever it might have been.

Well after see many entries of kokoro_chan2001 with cosplay, figurines and merchandasing i'm get interested and finally what kill to me was when she buy herself a goban, but she lives alone so she did figures in the goban (one with legs) and i'd think if someone is too adicted to buy a very expesive goban for do flowers in it, because remid her about one manga, and maybe she will try to learn to play... i thought wow i need to read that!!


4. Are you active in the fandom? What do you do?
Well now i'm only a very lurker fan!!, but sometimes i writes poems, so when i find my hikago muse i try to go for it!

No only reading!! ;_____; but i try to be

6. Who is your favorite character in the series?
Hikaru, And Aki/Hika, Hika/Aki, and ogata, and Waya, Honinbo Ojisan, and all of them!!!

7. Why do you like him/her?
I love the personalities of Hikaru and his his extreme turn in his life... well and i believe in reencarnation i'm really think Sai and Torajirou are past lifes of Hikaru, that's why he is a genius and Sai is a personality of them with an big power of existance and that's why he apears to his nexts personalities and guide them to his goal the hand of God.

Akira is really cute character so proud, so lonely, so out of his age, so wise and childish at the same time; i really feel next to him too, because when i was a child until my twennies i'm always be with adult people talking about adult topics and i never find a single child of my age with play with or talk so i was very lonely, only be the elder of 3 more sibiling i think save me, and my rival always was my brother 1 and a half year behind me;
but both of us always talk about history, chess, literature, art, so we never was a normal kids
Only when i was in University i think i find an equal level of interest...so i really was like him and i understand his lonliness.

i love the two of them together because they complement each other so well!!

Ogata: he is a very handsome, really challenging, intelligent and teasing person is like a person could be good as bad as he like and he loves that and me too!!

Waya is a good character i really like him

Honimbo Ojii san he is so clever and poker experience man you can't don't love him



8. Do you think this character likes those qualities about him-/herself?

Hikaru. he is not so aware of his qualities at all, maybe until the end of the serie
Akira. knows his value and for him is the only thing he have so he need some one who tell him he have more

Ogata is well aware of himself and i think he is pretty confident

Honimbo Ojii san the same

Waya knows his limits and he knows with time he will go better, he lives his age and his go in equal bases is very equilibrated and i hopes he knows that is a very good thing

9. Who is this character's best friend (in your opinion)?

Hikaru's best friend was Sai, and Akira and him rivalry is some kind of a friendship

10. What do they like about each other?

Hikaru loves Sai like a big bro and an equal they fight and laugh together they had a realy close relationship
With Akira Hikaru have an overwelming feel of admiration with him and want to be his equal or better

Akira have an overwelming feel of admiration with him, he loves Hika care free personality and all he doesn't have and he really want him to be his challenge and be with him for life

11. Whom does your favorite character dislike most? (Doesn't necessarily have to be a Hikago character.)
Akira after the junior high tournament until they reencounter was Hikaru, then i don't know someone non serius about GO??
Hikaru dislike loose!!!


12. Why do you think that is?
Well Akira's first and only rival was Hikaru, but abruptly Hikaru seems to be no sirius and play really bad so Akira hates him, and that was because he needs him so badly that the idea of him be complety alone again make it hate him and then love him again

Hikaru at first don't mind loosing, but after he reborn from his depression for loosig Sai, He really dislike losing specially in front of Akiea

13. Who is your least favorite character?
Ochi

14. What do you not like about him/her?
he is so full of him self, and in general he don't mind destroying others to be up. I really dislike him

15. Imagine this scenario: your favorite character, the best friend, and the disliked person are stranded in a small cabin in the middle of the woods during a heavy snowstorm. They have nothing with them except what they were carrying during their mountain hike. Who dies first?

Ochi will try to steal all the suplies, and Akira and Hikaru will die playing in a magnetic goban, but i think someone notice hikaru or Akira aren't back and save them if they can take them away form the magnetic goban

Because they complement each other too well

I think only from Akira's side towards Hikaru in the serie, from Hikaru's side is not clear if is a great frienship-chivalry admiring relationship or more when the serie end

20. What do you think they see in each other? What makes their relationship work (or not work)?

The thinks they not have is in the other and the two are too dedicate to Go to think in other person in the world

21. Could their relationship survive something catastrophic (e.g. separation over long distances/time, infidelity, unexpected pregnancy, Touya Kouyo's disapproval, etc.)?

I think yes they overcome all because all in the world for both of them is Go and each other so they always seek for each other and be together... so if they maarry someone else i really pitty the poor girl

I think do exist and they will manage to achieve it or they next reincarnations for sure
